My Teaching philosophy.

The Full Story

An actor's greatest strength is their instinct. I therefore believe that the most important aspect of actor training is to nurture the uniqueness of a person, or rather give them the tools to trust their own uniqueness and the courage to go beyond their fears. If you are to be the best actor that it is possible for you to be and a performer who enriches the society in which you dwell, you need to become brave and bold in exploring and understanding every part of your humanity. The braveness with witch you approach life, intimacy, fear, sex or love will imitate how brave you are able to be in performance. Life and stage are not mutually exclusive. It is at this cross section that my work is vitally important to me as both a performer and teacher. It is the primary tool I use in my own performance and in teaching it is work I consider vital in creating dynamic and honest actors. When I began to develop my work it opened up areas of danger. It opened my heart, my depths and my possibilities. Work like this takes you to the areas of life that the world often doesn't allow but a world as performers we must fully explore.
